Rotten Wood Beneath (but the c. 1960s sink and laminate are saved)

c. 1903 original cabinetry and tin ceiling. Early linoleum. Sink and laminate are later additions. Upper cabinets originally came down to the counter, but are now supported by iron brackets (most likely when the new sink and counter were installed).
Red laminate was originally adhered with a black tar-like/caulking substance. Contact cement used this time.
