c.1815 Town House Sill/Corner Post Repair…and HUGE Water Tank Removed (not by me!) August 23, 2015 / Administrator / Exterior End of water tank (almost 4′ across). Old riveted tank was the water supply for a nearby cemetery. The floor had been removed and cement footers poured to support the tank. Original flat-wedged granite foundation (pre-1830). Lifting the building from major posts near to the top plate. Cement tank supoorts have been knocked lower. New joists. 1″ subfloor boards are next. Note wainscot on left wall with old red paint.
